What counts as an emergency
- Your vehicle is inside and the door will not open
- The door is stuck open and the house cannot be secured
- The door has come off its tracks or is hanging at an angle
- A spring or cable has broken and the door has dropped
- The door was hit by a vehicle
- The door will not stay closed
Real examples from our jobs

What to do while you wait
- Stop pressing the opener button. Repeated attempts can strip the opener gear or pull the door further off its tracks.
- Keep people and pets away from the door. A door with a broken spring or cable can drop without warning.
- Do not pull the red emergency release if the door is open or partly open and a spring is broken. With no spring tension, the door can fall.
- Do not loosen spring hardware, bottom brackets or cable drums. These parts are under high tension.
- If the door is stuck open, move valuables out of sight and lock the door between the garage and the house.
How we handle urgent calls
When you call, we ask a few questions about what the door is doing so the technician arrives with the right parts. Common spring sizes, cables, rollers and opener parts are carried on the truck, so most emergency repairs are completed in one visit.
If a full repair is not possible on the spot, for example when a damaged panel has to be ordered, we will get the door closed and secured and schedule the rest.
Getting your car out
If the springs are intact and only the opener has failed, the door can usually be opened by hand: with the door fully closed, pull the red release cord, then lift from the bottom. If the door feels very heavy or will not stay up, a spring is broken. Leave it closed and call us.

Emergency Garage Door Repair FAQs
Do you offer 24/7 emergency service?
Yes. Emergency calls are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including Friday night and Saturday when our office is closed. Call (512) 273-3798 and we will confirm how soon a technician can reach you.
Is emergency service more expensive?
You will be told the price before any work begins, including whether an after hours rate applies to your visit. There are no surprises on the invoice.
My door was hit by a car. Can it be fixed?
Often it can. If the damage is limited to one or two panels and the tracks, those can be replaced or straightened. If the panel style has been discontinued or several sections are creased, replacing the door is usually the better value. We can secure the opening either way.
